Hello and Welcome to StoneWood

Nestled on a quaint hillside, surrounded by lush Pine, Oak and Deodar trees, overlooking the majestic peaks of the Great Western Himalayas–Stonewood Villa is where our hospitality meets the beauty of the Himalayas.

Built using locally-sourced stones and recycled 150-year old pine and deodar wood, Stonewood is a luxurious extension of surrounding nature. The location of the resort is ideal for nature walks, camping, birding, jungle safaris, and cycling trips. We also have private parking. Located on the outskirts of Ranikhet, this chic and contemporary boutique resort hosts 15 rooms, all facing a private porch from where you can enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets.  It also offers a gorgeous panoramic view of majestic snow-capped peaks like the Nanda Devi, Trishul, Maikhtoli and Panchachulis. Our roof top open-air restaurant, overlooking the Himalayas and Gagas valley, makes your dining experience memorable.

And while you can choose from a variety of our Indian and continental cuisines, we would recommend you try the scrumptious local Kumaoni delicacies including Aloo ke Gutke, Thhatwani, Bhatt ki Churkani, Gahat ki Daal, Kumaoni Raita, Madua ki Roti, to name just a few.

How to reach: Our guests may either take a train from Delhi to reach Kathgodam or Haldwani railway station, and then hire a taxi to reach Stonewood. If you are planning for a road trip, then it will be an approximately nine-hour drive from Delhi to Ranikhet. We are always happy to help you with directions and suggestions. We even book taxis from Haldwani, if notified in advance.

Best time to visit: Ranikhet is an all-season destination. Still, if you want to experience the best of the destination, you can look for a package during April to September, when the climate is pleasant and is open for most of the activities.
